INFO

BACKGROUND:
Born Gisèle Dupont in Paris in 1921, Gisèle's early life was uneventful. She was 19 when the Nazis invaded, and though her family wasn't Jewish, she was far from happy about their presence. Especially because she'd somehow garnered the attention of one of Peter Albrecht, one of Hitler's Nazi vampires. (Yes, those were a thing.) Gisèle spurned Peter's affections, and in 1943 married another man, Amédée Montblanc. Peter, in a fit of jealousy, murdered Amédée, Amédée's whole family, Gisèle's parents and brother, and turned Gisèle into a vampire. His aim was to make her his eternal bride. Gisèle, of course, was furious and devastated. She vowed she would never love Peter.

That said, she stayed with him through the rest of the war, and it wasn't until the mid 1950s that she even thought about leaving. Rather than fall prey to Stockholm Syndrome and renege on her vow, Gisèle left Peter and Europe behind, and took up a wandering lifestyle in North America. She rarely settled in one place for long, traveling across Canada and the United States on her own. She would come into a town, feed, then move on. She hates her existence as a vampire, but has come to accept it as her lot in life.

In the later 1950s, Gisèle met a girl named Birdy...

PERSONALITY:
Gisèle is a little reserved, wary of trusting people too far and making poor decisions. That said, she has a sharp wit and likes to tease the people she does know. She is well used to the solitary lifestyle by now, using her good looks and intelligence to seduce strangers into becoming her meals. She tries not to associate with other vampires, filled as she is with self-loathing. She resents Peter for turning her, and herself for turning Birdy. She's taken great care never to be that reckless again.
